Guitar: An American Life. Okay so this book is not necessarily a guitar learning method type of book. Nevertheless, the author provides interesting facts about the origin of the guitar in America. This book was given to me as a gift from a co-worker. He said that when he saw it on the shelf it reminded him about me, so he bought the book for me. Thanks Wayne!! Bass Fitness: An Exercising Handbook. This handbook has very limited instructions with it, and rightfuly so. It is intended to give you a variety of 200 exercises for your left hand dexterity. Obviously this book was created for bassists; but I can assure you that if you want to be able to increase your left hand accuracy, technique, and speed you should pick one today. The Korg MA-30 Metronomeis very handy piece of my equipment. I continually use it to practice my tempo and solo skills. This metronome is pack with many features. GHS Fast-Fret String Cleaner. I like to keep the unpolished fretboards on my guitars nicely oiled and clean. I am not sure what kind of compound GHS uses in this product, but it works great. Just apply it before storing the guitar after playing sessions and the fretboard will remain smooth. Buy this item at Amazon.com

Elixir Electric Guitar Strings with NANOWEB© Coating. Like many other guitarists that play roughly 6 hrs a week, I would change the strings on my guitar at least every 3 to 4 weeks. As you can imaging in a year's worth the cost of string changing adds up. This changed once I tried the Elixir Electric Guitar Strings a couple of years ago. Just like advertised on the package, the strings lasted at least 3 times as long as the other brands. Certainly there are other string brands that sound slightly better; but I have not found one that lasts as long as the Elixirs, plus you save money on the long run.

A note on the instruments, I always recommend that you try-out an instrument before purchasing it, especialy when you are paying top dollar for them. Go to your local instrument store and try-out the instrument first, if you can't get a good deal from the store then come and check here.
