Left Hand Exercises Pt 1

Start Slowly

I know that one of the reasons why you are learning to play the guitar is because you want to be able to play fast and make expectators wonder how you can play like that. But trust me on this one; before you can play fast you'll need to play slow.

Make sure that you can play these exercises flawlessly at a tempo of 80bpm before moving on to a faster tempo. Secondly, don't forget to have all four fingers on a string before moving on to the next string. Remember that these exercises start on finger 1 then move onto finger 2 and so on until all fingers are placed on the string. Only then can you move on to the next string and start the process again.
